Terms of Use

These terms apply when you use Rootie: the web and mobile apps, the Rootie app for Microsoft Teams, our notifications and this website.

Effective date: 1 October 2026

1. Agreement

Rootie is provided by Verim Atölyesi Eğitim ve Bilişim Teknolojileri A.Ş. (“Rootie”, “we”), Üniversiteler Mah. İhsan Doğramacı Bulvarı No: 21, Çankaya, 06800 Ankara, Türkiye. By using Rootie you agree to these terms. If your organisation has a separate agreement with Rootie, that agreement governs the organisation’s subscription and takes precedence over these terms where they conflict.

2. Accounts and access

  • Rootie accounts are created by your organisation or with its permission. Your organisation can change or remove your access.
  • Sign-in links in reminders are personal. Keep them to yourself and tell us if you think someone else used your account.
  • You are responsible for the accuracy of the information you provide.

3. Rootie app for Microsoft Teams

The Rootie app for Microsoft Teams delivers learning reminders as personal messages. It works only for people who have a Rootie account at an organisation that has enabled the Teams channel in Rootie. Your use of Microsoft Teams itself is governed by your agreement with Microsoft. You can stop the messages at any time by uninstalling the app, and administrators can remove it for their organisation in the Teams admin center.

4. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • misuse the service, try to access accounts or data that are not yours, or interfere with its operation or security;
  • upload content that is unlawful, infringes others’ rights, or contains malware;
  • reverse engineer, copy or resell the service except as the law permits;
  • use automated means to answer questions or manipulate scores and league standings.

5. Content

Organisations keep ownership of the training content they create or upload. They grant Rootie the rights needed to host and deliver that content to their learners. The Rootie software, design and trademarks belong to Rootie.

6. Privacy

How we handle personal data is described in our Privacy Policy.

7. Availability and changes

We work to keep Rootie available and secure, but the service is provided “as is” and may be interrupted for maintenance or for reasons outside our control, including outages of Microsoft Teams, WhatsApp, SMS or e-mail providers. We may improve or change features over time.

8. Liability

To the extent permitted by law, Rootie is not liable for indirect or consequential losses, and our total liability arising from these terms is limited to the amounts paid for the service in the twelve months before the claim. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.

9. Suspension and termination

We may suspend access that breaches these terms. Your access ends when your organisation removes your account or its subscription ends.

10. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Türkiye. The courts and enforcement offices of Ankara have jurisdiction.

11. Changes and contact

We may update these terms and will change the effective date above when we do. Questions: support@rootielearning.com.
